National Volunteer Week

As part of National Volunteer Week we would like to take a moment to recognize all the Squad’s volunteers, without whom we would not be able to provide all the services that we offer to our community. In 2018 our members volunteered over 13,400 hours of duty time. Those hours do not include all of the training and drill hours our volunteers put in to stay proficient in their skills. As of April 1st we are proud to say we are on track to exceed 2018’s volunteer hours in 2019.

National Volunteer Week was established in 1974 by Points of Light and has grown exponentially each year. National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to celebrate the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society’s greatest challenges, to build stronger communities and be a force that transforms the world.
